Finding your score goes up and down depending on the test date? Can’t get a great composite but have terrific individual scores on different dates? Superscore is your answer if your university accepts it.
An ACT superscore is a new final composite score that is made up of your best individual section scores across all ACT tests you took. These best individual section scores are averaged to create a brand new composite ACT score.
Not every university accepts superscores so it is best for you to check with the universities you are applying to before counting on that superscore for admission. The University of Florida does not supercore.
To create an ACT superscore, you’ll pick out your best scores for the English, Math, Reading, and Science sections across all ACTs you took and then average them together. This will give you a new ACT composite score, or superscore. As of 2019, the State of Florida Department of Education is accepting superscores for the Bright Futures scholarship qualification. As always check with them when it is time for you to graduation to make sure of the current requirements as they often change from year to year.
