Sophomore and Junior Students and Parents: Let’s get started!

It’s crunch time for Juniors and time for Sophomores to begin their journey through college preparation.  Juniors should have taken at least one SAT or ACT Test by March 30, 2020, or have signed up for the April 4th, 2020 ACT test.

I offer in-person tutoring sessions in West Boca Raton Florida or online sessions via skype.  Together we will make a difference in a student’s college opportunities.

Sophomores should take either the June 13th ACT test or the May 2nd or June 6th SAT and/or subject tests as needed.   My students usually take a practice test or screening before we start preparing for either exam so that both parents and students understand where our preparation should start and focus on.  Sophomores should work on expanding their vocabularies (Vocabulary Workshop levels F, G, H) and content area reading techniques.

All students should pay particular attention to any charts or graphs that they encounter in their readings as these are tested on both the ACT and to a lesser degree on the SAT.  Test dates marked with an * are the last opportunities to get test results back before the November 1, 2020, deadline that many colleges adhere to.
